Let Us Rise

Many people dwell in the realm of self
Living for the wealth, image’s what they sell
I call to those with power, act within the hour
Before we are devoured…
Before we drown in the crying crowd
No need to doubt, it’s getting out of hand
See the pain of man, stop the reign of man
See the shaking lands, let us pray again
We are on the edge, about to break our necks
People let us act, and not just accept
Poor money to the poor and hungry
Burn all your weapons, bury all your bombs
No more money to the war loving
Turn for a second, what is it you want?
Just open your eyes, leave the land of lies
Rise!

Don’t blame it on the king, or the president
It’s easy to point the finger, but not relevant
See I don’t care to meddle on that level
I’m no rebel; I’m a traveller, storyteller
Of mine endeavours, as I climb to heaven
I’m in search of truth, need no clergy to
Instruct me, forgive, conduct me, or test me
That’s the job of God, not the job of man
We are to obey, what is called the plan
Let’s unify the races, show our faces
Let’s get out the maze, summon the nations
Gather in the garden of Ridván and come to terms
To those that know our history and have indeed learned
Rise!

Be yourself the change you wish to see
Those were there the words of Ghandi-Ji
Let us rise for all
And follow the will of the soul

I need not give examples like jumping horses on corpses
Forces that force with bombs and poisonous toys that silence the voice
And lies that drown us in noise!
I don’t need to share, because you are aware, it’s up to you to care!
Thinner than a hair is the road of ‘right’, especially at night, without a light
But those that never try, stay within the lie
Never to see the sky, do you realize?
Just open your mind, you might be surprised
The intelligence you find is enough to rise!

Everybody rise!
